ABOUT ABOUT

Taking place on the 10th anniversary of Cortada’s expedition to the North Pole, “90N: North Pole Installations” will also feature works from his collection Florida Is Nature, as well as never-before exhibited arctic ice paintings created by Cortada during his 2008 North Pole expedition. Reflecting Xavier Cortada’s overall practice, the artwork exhibited in “90N: North Pole Installations” is rooted in science and oriented toward social engagement and the environment. In addition to installations, performance documentation, paintings and more, the exhibition will present interactive visitor participation projects.

“90N: North Pole Installations” will open with a reception on Friday June 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be on view at the Gallery at Creative Pinellas through September 2, 2018.
